A place to learn, make, and spend time around people who do the same. Through classes and studio practice, we bring more art and skill into everyday life in Stoughton, Wisconsin.
Our Inspiration
Quinn and Verna Smet spent more than fifty years in Stoughton—raising a family, showing up for their community, and helping shape the kind of local life that makes a town feel like home.
Quinn served on the Stoughton School Board and spent years substitute teaching in the district. Verna worked as a dental hygienist and later at St. Ann’s School. After retiring, Quinn found his way to watercolor. He spent hours painting, practicing, and learning piece by piece.
Depot Hill Creative grows from that same spirit: curiosity, care, and the simple idea that it is never too late to start making something with your hands.
