Shake your snow thing! In this class, you’ll build a tiny winter world in glass, complete with snowpeople, gingerpeople or a forest of festive trees. Play with color and sparkling details as you create a fused glass snow globe ornament to hang on your tree or give to someone you love.
What you’ll do
Choose your glass and start dreaming up the scene inside your snow globe. Will it be a snowy woodland, a gathering of gingerpeople, or something a little more unexpected? Arrange your shapes, try different colors together, and bring your scene to life with glass dots, thin glass stringers, crushed glass called frit, and sparkling dichroic glass.
Lucie Arendt will introduce glass safety and guide you through using glass-cutting tools, so you can experiment even if you’ve never worked with glass before. Your design will be fired after class and ready for pickup at the Depot or the glass studio in about a week.
