A beginner-friendly textile art class where you’ll create an 8-inch barn quilt using fabric, foam board, and a no-sew Japanese technique.
What you’ll do
Kinusaiga is a Japanese textile art form that creates richly textured, mosaic-like images without sewing or needles. In this class, you’ll learn how to transfer a design to foam board, cut shallow grooves, and tuck fabric into the surface to create an 8-inch barn quilt. You’ll finish by mounting your completed piece into a wooden frame or shadow box to take home.
