A beginner-friendly metal clay workshop where you’ll create a one-of-a-kind bronze pendant inspired by your zodiac sign.
What you’ll do
You’ll choose from a selection of zodiac designs, select a pendant shape that complements your design, and build your piece using bronze metal clay. You’ll apply the zodiac image, create a decorative edge and bail, and refine the pendant so it can be polished to a beautiful finish after firing.
Because bronze metal clay requires kiln firing, your pendant will be fired after class and made available for pickup at Kismetic Studios on Main Street.
What you’ll learn

How to use additive construction for decorative details
How to refine a pendant before firing
The basic principles of firing and sintering bronze metal clay
Great for: Beginners. No prior metal clay experience needed.
Instructor: Karen Trexler is a metalsmith, enamelist, and metal clay jewelry artist with an MFA in metalsmithing and enameling from UW–Madison. She brings extensive experience working with and teaching metal clay, with a focus on making the material approachable for beginners.
